Chamonix has been welcoming travelers and adventurers for over two and a half centuries and can be truly described as an outdoor enthusiast's paradise. Good to know: Most impressive of the runs are the famous 22-kilometer/ 13-mile Vallee Blanche, Le Brevent and the excellent Grands-Montels.
Getting there: Situated at 88 km from Geneva airport and linked with the European road network, Chamonix is an easily accessible efficient shuttle bus service and a panoramic sightseeing train.

Winter season begins around mid-December till the beginning of May with excellent spring skiing in April.
