iRex Digital Reader 1000S

While you can certainly read electronic books and newspapers on it, the 1000S is mostly for power paper-pushers seeking a print-free existence. The reader sports a large 25.9cm display, and comes with a handy pen that allows you to mark up any digital document as if it was paper.

Kindle 2

Rumour has it the paperback-sized Kindle has been designed with global readers in mind, but for now its walue-added wireless capabilities will only work within the US. Still, you get your hands on one, you'll be able to download your books via computer, storing more than1,500 of them.
Pixelar e-Reader
This reader isn't tied to any proprietary ebook format, supporting a long list of file types and languages (though no Arabic yet) that allow you to download and read almost anything. You can change fonts and font sizes while reading, as well as listed to MP3 files with the included earphones.

Plastic Logic Reader
This one has its flexible screen technology and seemingly impossible slimness (<7mm), its already the talk of gadgetdom even a year away from release. Promised features include a touchscreen interface, wireless capabilities and a markup and annotation function.
